The Scales Are Tipped!

But which way?

See if you can guess from the poem:

Sticky fingers,
dirty face,
rugs and pillows
out of place,

Cars and tractors
here and there,
Blocks and boats
everywhere,

Gold and silver
have I none,
But worth a million
is my Son.

What I learned

I learned many things at the conference, but I'll list the most important ones here.

-I learned about debt, and how it enslaves you.
-I learned how we all need to have a biblical vision of the world.
-I learned more about how our country is falling and more about economics in general.
-I learned about responsibility.
-I learned that I need to be stong even if faced with persecution for who I am.
-I learned how not only is abortion killing thousands of babies, but the birth control pill is too.

Family Economics Conference

We got back from the Conference Tuesday. We were gone for about a week, and it's good to be home now. I learned alot and had a great time. I didn't get as many pictures as Shelbi did, but here's a few of the good ones. ;)

We ate the Chick- Fil-A food in the lobby every day. They provided a chicken sandwhich, an apple, a bag of potato chips, a bottle of water, and a cookie. This is everyone eating at the lunch break. The one problem with the lunches was that we never ate the apples on both days. But I guess that was our fault. At the end of the conference we had sixteen apples, plus the whole bag we had brought from home!!!!

This is the book table. We came home with lots of new books.:)

Cute little Si-Man! He's the whole family's baby and he knows it!

I would put some pictures of all of the speakers here, but I had to zoom up so close they're all blurry.:( Sorry!!!

Skirts

Lately me, mama, and Shelbi have each been working on a skirt. Mama started her's first, but she didn't have enough material to finish it so I started mine. I began it Monday and finished it this morning. We had to have our grandma help us with the ruffle, but I think they'll all turn out well.

This one is mine.

snow!!

A couple of days go we got seven inches of snow! We were really suprised and excited. Daddy said it hasn't snowed like this since he was a little boy, and people are saying that this has been the coldest winter we've had in fifteen years. I love cold weather!

Spurgeon really liked the snow. He ran in circles around the yard all morning 'cause he felt so good.

This is the snowman we made. He only stayed like this for a while, because Spurgeon ate his eyes, took off the scarf and hat, and broke an arm off. It doesn't even look like a snowman any more.

Milo just stayed in the shed the whole time.;) He didn't care for it too much.

Anne of Green Gables music

After working on the Anne of Green Gables theme song for nearly a year now, I have finally got it down!!! I kept forgeting about it and then picking it back up, but I'm glad kept at it. In honor of my achievment, I (or Shelbi I should say) ;) added a playlist to my blog. You can listen to the Anne song below, and as you do try to imagine me playing it.
